If you read a URL while it is still inside the freshness window, you get the cached version instantly.
If the cached version is older than the freshness window, Lyrenth re-crawls the page and gives you a fresh copy at the same per-read cost.
The index is shared. When any user triggers a fresh crawl of a URL, everyone gets the updated version after that.
Freshness window is not a limit. You can still force refresh any URL at any time, on every plan.
A 2xx response to POST /v1/aidocument or GET /v1/read costs one credit. One predictable rate per call. No per-byte fees, no multipliers on bigger pages.
4xx and 5xx responses cost nothing. You only pay for AIDocuments we actually deliver. Dashboard analytics, API key management, and domain verification never touch your quota.
The index is shared: when any caller triggers a fresh crawl of a URL, everyone gets the updated version after that, at the same one-credit rate. Higher tiers get tighter freshness windows, and every plan can force refresh (two credits).

What's an AIDocument?
One clean, structured JSON document resolved from a single public URL: markdown, source trace, page structure, and the token economics of the read, in one stable envelope.
What happens when I hit my quota cap?
Reads return a clear 429 quota error until the month resets or you upgrade. You are paused at your cap, never surprise-billed, and dashboard analytics, key management, and domain verification keep working.
Is beta pricing locked?
Yes. Beta subscribers lock their rate for the life of the active subscription, even after public pricing changes.
Do failed fetches count?
No. 4xx and 5xx responses cost nothing; you only pay for AIDocuments we actually deliver. A successful read is one credit, and a forced refresh is two.
